How long should my balloons last?

West Michigan Balloons uses decorator balloons and other high-quality materials to ensure beautiful colors and longevity of our décor.

Indoor Air-filled

Latex and foil air-filled displays should be expected to look nice and fresh for about a week. You'll notice they generally last much longer.

Indoor Helium

Latex balloons treated with hi-float, 1-3 days.
Foil balloons generally float days, if not weeks.

Outdoor Air-filled and Helium

Balloons are unpredictable outdoors and we are unable to offer any guarantee of longevity as exposure to elements such as heat/cold, wind, etc. affects how the balloons will react.

*We are not responsible for popped or damaged balloons after delivery or pick up.

What do I do with my balloons once the event is over?

For everyday balloon deliveries, properly dispose of the balloons when you're done with them.

For décor items that require a stand (such as classic arches, circles, frames, walls, etc.) West Michigan Balloons will return at a previously scheduled time to remove the stand, pop, and properly dispose of the balloons. There is no additional cost for this service.

For décor items that do not require a stand, you are responsible for removing and properly disposing of your items. If you'd like us to take down your balloons, this is available for a strike fee. The fee is dependent upon location but is generally $30 + delivery fee and must be added at time of booking.

Were you called Lakeshore Balloons before?

Yes! We are still the same friendly company with the same wonderful designs. We expanded our service area so we updated our name! We hope you like the new name and colors as much as we do.

Is there a helium shortage?!

Yes and no. There isn't a shortage of the actual gas, but it is scarce and therefore, more expensive to mine. A helium tank that cost $140 3 years ago, is now over $300. So we have helium, but it's not neccesarily a budget friendly option right now. Luckily, over 90% of our balloon designs are air filled so helium isn't too much of a worry for us.

Will my balloons look exactly like the picture?

Whether you provide an inspiration pic or choose from one of ours, each piece of balloon decor is unique and different. The placement of balloons, the shade of each color, the shape of a garland, etc., may be slightly different than the photo. We always strive to get as close as possible to the inspiration, but we use our creative judgment and expertise to put the balloons together to make it look the best possible.

What is your refund policy?

Do you provide backdrops or other non-balloon items?

No, sorry! We specialize in balloons and balloons only! We feel it is in the best interest of our business to focus solely on balloons to give you the best experience possible.

We do however have wonderful vendors that we love to refer. If you're looking for backdrops, marquee lighting, event planning services, and more, send us an email and we will send you our preferred vendor list.

Are balloons safe for the environment? What are smart balloon practices?

Latex balloons are made from the sap of rubber trees and are 100% biodegradable.

Foil balloons are not bio-degradable and should only be disposed of properly. Foil balloons can also be reused.

We encourage all of our clients to follow safe and smart balloon practices.

NEVER release balloons into the air. It is a hazard to animals and the environment. Balloon releases are banned in many states for this reason. West Michigan Balloons does not condone balloon releases and will never provide balloons knowingly for this practice.

Foil balloons should NEVER be released as they may conduct electricity and can become entangled in power lines. Always keep foil balloons secured to a weight.

WARNING! Children can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision is required. Keep uninflated balloons away from children. Discard broken balloons at once.

NEVER put balloons in your mouth.

Be aware of any adults or children that may have a latex allergy. Anyone with an allergy should refrain from having contact with any latex balloon structures.

NEVER inhale helium from balloons. Helium inhalation can lead to dizziness, loss of consciousness, or other serious injuries.

Some gift and decor items may contain small pieces and are a choking hazard. Always supervise children and enjoy responsibly.

West Michigan Balloons is not responsible for any accident or injury related to our décor.
